Roger Ehrenberg is the founder and Managing Partner of IA Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in New York City. IA is managing $475M across four funds, and is currently investing out of its $160M fourth fund. Roger previously was an active angel investor through IA Capital Partners, a seed-stage investment firm focused on digital media and financial technology. Earlier in his career, Roger served as CEO of DB Advisors, was Global co-head of Deutsche Bank’s Strategic Equity Transactions Group, and was an investment banker at Citibank in derivatives, capital structuring and Mergers & Acquisitions.
Roger currently sits on the Boards of Ethyca, Gospel Technology, Mighty, Octane and TransferWise, and until recently was lead investor in and Board Member of The Trade Desk (NASDAQ: TTD) and among the first investors in Datadog (NASDAQ: DDOG). He is also a Board observer of MemSQL, Robin Healthcare and Signifyd. Formerly, he served on the boards of Buddy Media (sold to Salesforce for $800M), Recorded Future (sold to Insight Ventures for $780M) and Simple Finance (sold to BBVA for $120M). Roger sits on the External Advisory Board of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, as well as serving as a member of the Data & Society Council of the Data Science Institute at Columbia University.
Roger holds an MBA in Finance, Accounting and Management from Columbia Business School and a BBA in Finance, Economics and Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan.
